Elana M. Lieberman Principal

Before becoming the “E” in ELM Advisors, Elana was Second Vice President—Investments at Smith Barney. Prior to joining Smith Barney in 1996, she spent nearly five years with Sanford C. Bernstein in New York, working with institutional and private clients as both a securities analyst and portfolio manager. Elana also served as a senior business consultant with Wells Fargo Bank and as a research analyst with Investor Responsibility Research Center. More recently, she worked for Catholic Charities and Lenders for Community Development Micro-Lending Program, which makes loans to small businesses located in low-income neighborhoods. She earned a B.A. from Cornell University in 1988.

After hours, Elana is addicted to the Food Network. She also really likes the color purple, which becomes evident upon visiting the ELM Advisors office.
